Mineral Project Generation and Risk Management
The core business of GEOTASK Pty Ltd is mineral project generation, evaluation and management, focused upon brown fields exploration and project development.
Project evaluation involves various stages, and each stage requires specific reporting outputs to be developed and produced. The required outputs are briefly described below, and a detailed breakdown of the processes and associated reports can be found here:
Mineral Location Report: When carrying out a mineral location report and evaluation the expert will usually need to conduct a site visit and will need to obtain the information detailed in the relevant section of this document.
Mineral Asset Valuation: A valuation is usually undertaken by independent experts in order to estimate the value that a project or property may change hands at in a willing buyer-willing seller transaction. Further details here.
Resource Evaluation: Resource evaluation is the foundation for the mine planning process and accurate estimates are critical to the financial success of a mining operation. A good evaluation process should ensure that the database is of high quality and that the geological framework is sound. Further details here.
Reserve Estimation: The Reserve Estimation derives economic tonnes and grades of the mining operation. Further details here.
Open-Pit Mine Design: The design of an Open-Pit operation includes geotechnical pit-slope design and economic mining parameters. The pit-slope design defines the incremental and life-of-mine waste to Ore strip ratio, waste stripping being the highest variable incremental cost of any operation. Further details here.
Underground Mine Design: To assist the design engineer in the consideration of design parameters for a safe and productive mining layout. Further details here.
Independent Technical Expert Reports: When producing an independent technical expert report for a project the expert will usually need to conduct a site visit, and obtain the details listed in the relevant section of this document.
Reconciliation: Reconciliation systems compare resource, reserve and grade control model predictions of tonnage and grade with mined, stockpiled and milled production recorded and voids surveyed. Further details here.
Mining Due Diligence: Due Diligence is usually undertaken by independent experts in order to analyse and evaluate all aspects of a project being considered for purchase, merger, public listing, etc. Further details here.
DOIR Form 5 Reporting and Monitoring System: This GIS Arcview system was designed to report and monitor all tenements in Western Australia and currently contains details of all 36,667 current and pending tenements. The system maintains records of planned and actual expenditures, exemption from expenditure, and dollar variations for the period 2002 till present. The system is updated on a monthly and annual basis. This allows the interrogation of tenements where exploration has under-spent the required amount, for the period 2002 until present. This forms a valuable tool in potential joint ventures, and objections and plaints.
